Anywhoo, here are some Snacks I Have Known......Santa Edition:

The ULTIMATE hangover brekkie: Dirty Ron's & Gatorade with a side of Advil........

Caramel chip Shortbread:

Bottle of Veuve Clicquot (which was handed to me with a straw):

Plate O' Fried Food at Big Daddy's Crabshack:

Milk Chocolate Marzipan from Rocky Mountain Chocolate:

Red Velvet cupcake from the bakery in The Bay (probably on of the best Red Velvets Ive ever tried...not too sweet...loved the cream cheese icing):

Desiderio Jeio - good lord this stuff was AMAZING....like Prosecco & Lychee juice mixed together.  Its what I like to call a "Creeper": it so delicious, it goes down like juice, so you have 4 glasses of it and feel nothing. Then you try to stand and........well, if youre in heels good luck:

Oysters: Ive only developed a liking for these in the past year....soooo good with hot sauce & lemon:

Wine Tasting with my buddy Steve (isnt he gorge?....and SO slim too!)  Was such a waste; I didnt even drink because they only served my nemesis: RED WINE!

Extra's NEW Dessert Delights gum in Key Lime Pie.  Great taste; very limey with a hint of custard, but it ran out of flavour wayyyy too fast:

Traditional Poutine from Smoke's....Kanga & I devoured this shit for breakfast one morning:

Have Yourself a Very Cellulite-y Christmas...........

FursWithAHighWaist

In case y'all havent noticed....I HEART FUR.  And yes, I feel guilty wearing it....and YES I still consider myself an animal lover.  I wish I was good enough a person to always stay away from things that are morally (or otherwise) wrong, but I fully admit that I am not.  Real talk.

On a brighter note, I have lovingly named both my furs: the lynx is called "LiLi" and the fox is called "Hey Gurlllllll!"

Fur du Jour:

photo courtesy of Kanga - I cant STAND this photo but if I asked her to take another one it wouldve been the slap heard round the world........
  Tshirt: American Apparel
Hey Gurrllll: Ebay
belt: Aritzia
trousers: Aritzia
booties: Aldo
watch: Guess
ring: Puerto Rico

Fur du Hier:

 LiLi: Ebay
tunic: H&M
leggings: Aldo Accessories
skinny belt: Aritzia
Miss Sixty boots: Ebay
watch: Garage

As you can see I buy my furs on Ebay...they have a lot of vintage stuff (which is not only stylish but eases the guilt of wearing a dead animal 'round my neck) and their prices are great.  I think fur is so effing chic, but the stoles with the animal's legs & heads still attatched completely weird me out.  I might as well carry Bearoo around my neck.......

FUR WANT:  $11,000 Blonde Mink Coat

Remember this beauty (the coat, not the hot mess in it)??  Linds allegedly stole it from some socialite back in '08.  Shit gurllll, I cant even blame the bitch...Id sell my first born just to wear it for an hour........

"I Hate People I Dont Know"......

....one of my favourite sayings when Im cranky and in a crowded place.  During the holiday season, my hood aka the Yonge & Dundas area, becomes over-run with manic holiday shoppers/905ers.  PET PEEVE: Im walking, a guy is walking towards me, we are obvs on a collision course and HE DOESNT MOVE....therefore bashing his elbow into my side. Attn: Men of Toronto, when you see a female coming, please note that youre the man and you should be the one to move.  Dont be afraid to be a gentleman - WE DONT HAVE TO BE THE SAME TO BE EQUAL.  Anywhoo.....although I must admit the street holiday decorations & lights are truly beautiful.....the Eaton Centre, or "Evil Centre" (as I lovingly refer to it during the month of December) is just too much to handle.  You can find me at home, pulling a Greta Garbo......under the covers, blinds shut, wishing the world would just go away......

HUMBUG!!!

Top Ten Christmas Wants

Even tho Im not really a Christmas person, I AM a HUGE Receiving-Presents Person.  Here's a compilation of my ten most desired items for Christmas 2010:

1. Crisace Hair Extensions (approx $1300 for a full head) - Lemme tell ya, the year I had these babies was the greatest year of my hair's life. Seriously - I felt like one of those Kardashian bitches.  Amazing quality Indian Temple hair for a couple hundred cheaper than Great Lengths.  Worth every penny.

2. Bottle of Prosecco (approx $20) - Gorgeous, light & fluffy bubbles - I always feel very chi-chi when I drink this stuff.  If Champagne is the queen, then Prosecco is the hotter, younger princess.....

3. Primark Cape Coat (approx $50)- Sooooo stylish with skinnies.....and warm too.  Love the military detailing.  Plus Ive always wanted to be a caped-crusader......

4. Orthopedic Dog Bed (approx $100-$300)- for the man in my life.  He is developing arthritis & his comfort is a huge priority....plus I think he gets too hot sleeping on my bed.....

 5. Bvlgari White Tea Shampoo & Body Lotion (free at the Ritz-Carlton) - Not a fan of the actual White Tea perfume (too strong)...but the lotion delivers an unbelievable, milder scent.  I also use the shampoo as a laundry detergent for special, delicate things.  Side note: if you ever stay at a Ritz-Carlton, swipe as many of these (along with the shower gel & conditioner) as you can......

6. Laser-Eye Surgery (approx $5000) - a life without glasses or contacts would truly be a dream come true.

7. Aritzia Leopard Silk Dress ($165) - I have been waiting for this shit to come into stores since late summer. The possibilities of ways to wear it are endless.......

8. My Own TV Show (priceless) - Because I think Im pretty awesome.....and kind of a loud-mouth.

9. Michael Kors Rose Gold-Plated Chronograph Watch ($300) - Uber-feminine & so beautiful it makes my knees buckle.

10. Unconditional Love (priceless) - I love myself, flaws & all, and dont want to change the fundamental core of who I am.  Wouldnt it be a treat to find a lover, friend, and/or family member who shared that sentiment?  Besides Bearoo, of course......

Snacks I Have Known........BORICUA STYLE!!

Lets get this out of the way first....heres what I wore today:

"Inspired by"....because we never say knock-off dahling......

blouse: Urban Outfitters
vintage fox fur stole: Ebay
belt: Aritzia
trousers: Wilfred
booties: Aldo
"Inspired by" Chanel Camellia Ring: $12 @ a random Puerto Rican gift shop

Back to Snacks I Have Known....BORICUA STYLE:

In case youre confused, BORICUA refers to someone who was born and/or raised as a Puerto Rican.  For further explanation, please refer to Big Pun & Joe's song "Still Not A Playa."  Note the ending where they sing "Boricua....Morena", Boricua meaning Puerto Rican, Morena meaning a dark skinned/hair/eyed female....usually of Hispanic descent....but I think in the song they chanted it to sybolize the harmonious unity of Black & Latinos.  THE MORE YOU KNOW!!!!

La Muralla Restaurant-the owner lived on top (check out his laundry & dog on the roof)

Rice & "Pink" Beans with a side of fried chicken......INHALED this shit after a long hike....

Fresh Coconut Water...they often sell these on the beach too.  Snacks I Have Known tip: after all the juice is gone, ask someone to hack it open with a machete for you....there is delicious coconut meat & pulp inside that shouldnt be wasted.....

Shrimp Taco.....needed less batter, more shrimp.......but my nails are looking FIERCE......

Pananutres aka Bread Fruit Chips.  Bread Fruit is similar to potato, but with a lot less flavour...these chips tasted like stale Baked Lays.....superyuck.
Coconut Lollipop - hands down THE BEST lollipop I have ever tried.  It was made with coconut cream & had actual chunks of toasted coconut in it.  SUPERYUM!

Coconut Ice on the beach.....can you tell Im a coconut fan??

Keebler Toast & Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers.  Ive only tried the Ritz Cracker version of these....Ive never seen the Keebler ones in Toronto.  I prefer the Ritz....Keebler didnt come close to replicating the buttery texture of a Ritz cracker.  A lovely couple from Dallas (where Keebler stuff is made) gave me this packet after I let out my trademark embarassingly-loud-high-pitched squeal: "IM HUNGEEEEEEE!!!!!"

As you can see, I take snacking VERY VERY seriously.  This was proved earlier last week when I was literally stopped in my tracks by the sight of the NEW Balsamic & Basil flavoured Triscuits. They were sitting on my co-workers desk.  As I devoured some & gabbed nonstop about them, my coworker deadpanned, "Wow.....Ive never met anyone who was so into Triscuit crackers."
